I get where you're coming from and I do rather agree, but I guess I question why worship at all?
What is this critter that demands - yes, DEMANDS - praise? Sounds rather petty to me.
I mean, how many times are you supposed to say thank you? Thank you for my life - well, how do you know nonexistence isn't better? Etc. etc. etc.

I think as long as you believe in a way, where you are doing good in this world than that is what matters.
If we live our lives believing, that is what effects our soul.
We can pray at home, or outside and in our hearts.
Sometimes going to a temple, church, synagogue, mosque, wherever your place of worship may be, and by going it can enhance those beliefs we already carry and recharge them...then we go on a little while longer before we need the charge again.

I'm glad that you are a spiritual being and that you are trying to find the truth...
However, I have come to another conclusion,
1. Christianity is true
2. Other religions are an attempt to find the true peace that I have found through Jesus Christ., While the others are a valient attempt at peace and harmony. True Happiness and eternal life comes only through the Christ
3. Religion is false... God is not interesting in religion.. but in a personal relationship with him

If all religions are different paths to the same place, then why do the paths contradict each other? Does truth contradict itself? Let's review the teachings of just three religions:
Buddhism is pantheistic and says there is no personal God and everyone can reach Godlikeness on his own. Islam says that Jesus was just a prophet, and not the only way to God. Christianity says that there is a personal God, and that the only way to Him is through Jesus (John 14:6). If these three religions are, as you say, different paths to the same place, then why do they contradict each other? Does truth contradict itself?

_ If there is a God ? sure there is One and Only.
_ When God sent the prophets, He didn't send them to tell people that God exist, but He sent them to show them how to worship him.
in Islam we know that most of people Know that there is a God, but the problem is in the worship.
man think that because of his sins and impurities, can't ask God directely and that he is in need of something in between , something pure like, angels, pious people, a prophet, a stone, a saint.......
So man start worshiping these things to make them close to God, and think that they can interceed for them and ask God to forgive them.
Another principle, is that many people think that God is everywhere, in human beings, in trees, in rocks, in saints, in Jesus, in buddah, ...... They claim that because they don't worship them, but the spirit of God that is in them....
If so, how about the trash, wast, diseases, ugly things that you know ? ? ?.
The prove is that any time people change the laws of God or start worshiping others than God, God >>>> sent prophets after prophets with miracles.
But all the time, people forget, people change the laws, books got lost, get altered with the hands of man like the Torat and the Bible and others. and again the make God in 3 forms. or deny the commands of God. or like some sufis, claim that God is everywhere even if they are muslims and worship God only.
Satan and arrogance of man is the source of these things.
If you take it easy and think about it without arrogance and without leting satan whisper to you, go study about the Quran and Islam and the life of the prophet Muhammad, and you will understand that all the prophets were muslims, the message of God is one and that time change peoples believe . that's why God made this Quran for eternity, the same , with one language, one version, from one God and one prophet was enough for the whole world.
worship God only. Jesus said < God is one >, Moses said < the first commandment = God is one >, Abraham said worship God only, Noah told his sinner people to worship God only and that he is most forgiving, then they were all killed and punished. Why then God didn't send his son (as Christians claim) to save the world, is that fair? he punishes some and let others do the same things that the people of Lot or Noah are doing in the name of God and the cross.
Do whatever you will, you have free will. but Ask guidance from God the creator and submit to him
Don't let the propagandas about Islam and the killings of innocents disturb you from the truth. many are studiying Islam and find about that Islam is free from what is happening, Also many become muslims by the way. This is a great wisdom from God the eternel, who never dies, the first and the last.
nothing is like him, he is nor male nor female, he is God he beget none nor was begotten

Dr. Hugh Ross, a famed astrophysicist once reviewed all of the books on which certain religions are based in an attempt to find error in them. He spent 2 hours on the Quran before finding major errors, several days and hours on the other books. And then he spent 3 1/2 years on the Holy Bible. He ended up on his knees before God asking Jesus to be his Lord and Savior. His website is Reasonstobelieve.org God bless you as you search deeper for the truth, as your eternal life depends on it.

well I think that all religions can't be true, because so many of them are founded on the principle that others are wrong. Thou shall have no other gods, and such.
The most logical answer is that religions are all true only in the Jungian sense of archetypal imagery that evolved along with mankind.

What a fallacy! If all religions are true then all religions cannot have errors in em. I think what you're trying to deny yourself is the real truth which is simply that ALL RELIGIONS ARE FALSE.

You need to study more, and to study the correct things.
As for experience, you know we can be fooled .
Try reading the Bible, and if you very closely examine the first several chapters of Genesis, (not to mention the whole of the N.T.) you will see that God did specify how He is to be worshipped.

With all due respect to Mahatma Gandi, that sounds like a crock of PC BS. It almost sounds like he's running for office and doesn't wanna lose any constituents. I'm sure he means well, but I'm not sure that even he believes that.
