Give them a copy of When Someone you love is Wiccan by Carl McColeman.

Or Print out the WitchCraft FAQ sheet from The Witches Voice.

There are books to do this. You can probably find one online, or through www.witchvox.com. I would just explain that it is an Earth-based religion, like Native American beliefs, and reveres Nature, and all things natural, through the Gods and Goddesses. Remind them that Wiccans do not even believe in a devil, or Satan, so Wiccans are NOT devil worshippers. You have to go slow, when explaining it, and just let people see you are not evil, and they will accept you after time. Buy one of the books, I think one of them is named "When a Loved One is Wiccan". These could help you. Blessed Be!!

First off, WICCA is a earth-base religion and the EARTH, among the AIR and TREES are your force of enegries, Mother Nature as your GODDESS, and GOD as well, all living things have a purpose. WITCHCRAFT has a bad rep. Even thou there light and dark magiks. AS far as not believing in the DEVIL that wrong too. WE believe he exsist but don't worshipped or acknowledge him.

Simply put.....EARTH-BASE, Mother Nature and GOD among all living things are you force point.

The first thing people need to be told is that Wicca and Witchcraft are NOT satanic. Witches, like myself, do not believe in satan or hell.
You need to tell them that the Mother Goddess is the creator and bringer of all things and that her consort the God, is the guardian of the forest and all living animals. Everything we do is in their name and with their blessing. We are their children and they guard us guide us and protect us.
We perform magic spells to change situations we have no control over, but we only do good works as the magic we cast is increased 3 fold in power and returned to us.
We do not curse people nor do we frighten them with things they do not understand. We help the planet and the communities we live in by healing the sick and recycling all we can.
We celebrate the Sabbats and Esbats to rejoice in the turning of the wheel of the year as the seasons change and we grow older and wiser, as we learn from the lessons the earth has to teach us.
Above all else we are LOVE. Unconditional, open to all. We are LOVE.
Blessed Be!

I had the beginning of this discussion with my 7 year old daughter just this last weekend...time she learned that daddy doesn't believe everything she's being taught.

I don't use the word Witchcraft as she thinks of the yellow brick road references there. I started by explaining that I saw Mother Earth as a living being and not just a ball of dirt that we stand on. Also how the environment was something to be cherished.

Next weekend we are going for a walk amongst the old bones of trees to see what she can learn there.

I would tell them that they should not dabble in such wickedness...

Malachi 3:5 And I will come near to you to judgement; and I will be a swift witness against the sorcerers, and against the adulterers, and against false swearers, and against those that oppress the hireling in his wages, the widow, and the fatherless, and that turn aside the stranger from his right, and fear not me, saith the LORD of hosts.

Deut. 18:10There shall not be found among you any one that maketh his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, or that useth divination, or an observer of times, or an enchanter, or a witch.

Appreciation of, and reverence for, nature and the planet that sustains our bodies.

I'm a Christian, by the way, but I know the odd Wiccan or two and I feel their beliefs are quite noble and love based.

Not gonna get into an argument on beliefs lol.

God bless.

Steer clear of magic and ciralcs and elements begin with the environmental side of things. if they are christian tell them its a lot about stewardship of the earth (its a christian term and Will make a lot of sense). Tell them that as well as a male god there is a goddess but don't go into too much detail unless they as you specifics.

This is not to wash over what is important to you but to ease them in gently - remember they may feel that it really IS devil worship not just that the devil has corrupted you.

firstly don't use he words witchcraft or wicca, they have been given an (unfair) bad press. I say I am a pagan and am i to earthworship, respecting our precious planet.
