The lineage,the genealogy of holy Prophet is very well kept. Backward, paternally as well as maternally, the linke are known upto Adam, step by step. His descendents also are known. Many families have been able to preserve their genealogy back to him. They are all over the world,by now. I have the list from Adam to Muhammad, maternally and patrernally. It is avaliabe in some books on his Biography. I learned it from Rahmatun lil Alameen, authored by Qazi Muhammad Sulayman Mansurpuri. Translated into Arabic and English, beside other languages.

There's noone left of the Prophets linage.
You may want to look into books on the month of Muharram-this should give you more info on what happend to the Prophets (pbuh) linage.

they are called sayed.but the main generation of prophet were 12 leaders after him who were the generation of Ali and Fatima(peace be upon them).and the last leader i mean Mahdi is alive now and is the savior of whole world (in shea belief)

hi .....yea they exist and i'm one of them by the way.....and the linage had been perserved by the grandsons them selves.....and they mostly live in iraq , saudia , egypt......and they are thousands and maybe millions.............and they are called ALASHRAF arabic word means THE NOBLES....but we don't believe we are higher than people anyway....and my proof we exist simply i have my name not just to prophet muhammed but to prophet ADAM himself.........and it's just true

People who descended from him are known as Syeds, and understandably, there are thousands, if not millions of them now. Many of them are fake too.
