I recently got a Royal Rumble 2007 poster. I tried sticking it to my wall with tape yesterday and when I woke up this morning, it had fallen off. Even better, one of the four pieces of tape I used I had to leave on, because I can't take it off without tearing off a small chunk of the poster. (The place I was watching the PPV at stapled all the posters around the place.) So what should I do?

I use the 3M command strips to hang a new (poster sized) wall calendar every year in my home office. They hold up a thick (laminated) calendar & the strips come off without harming the paint or leaving any residue.

Try using sticky putty. It is safe for walls and can be removed over time. You can purchase it at your local Walmart in the school section.

This stuff works on all surfaces. It is made by Pacer Technology and comes in sheets. Looks like chewing gum, rectangle sheets.
I looked at my packaging but can not give you the brand name.
The wrapper is blue yellow and black.

You just take a little bit and roll it into a ball and put it in back of your poster and it will stick until you take it down. Can be reused.
and will not tear or rip your poster.

It depends on what kind of wall your hanging your poster on, brick, drywall, wood paneling..etc. I use double sided mounting tape from 3M. You can also get sticky tabs that go on your walls and come off clean when you pull and stretch them.

Do you want this to last for a long time?

Then you should frame it.
