Ancient Hebrews were not "olive skinned"! They weren't Mediterranean! Yes they were browned skinned or in other words black.

it incredibly is the place linguistics come into play. what's a witch? nicely in Wiccan a witch is basically a woman practicer of the religion, that presumes to forged spells. (i'm sorry if i'm disrespectfull...Im uncertain precisely what Wiccans have faith) The Christian definition of a witch is a woman that casts spells by the devil. That devil bit is needed. So what we've right it incredibly is the observe witch with 2 comparable, yet extremely distinctive connotations. yet remember, the bible isn't initially written in English, besides the shown fact that it became written in Hebrew and Greek, yet later translated into Latin. So i'm going to apply Latin as an occasion. Latin has many phrases for witch, malefica is the main worry-unfastened. the foundation "male" purely ability evil and "fica" is on the subject depend of the observe facere- to do or make. So a malefica is purely a feminin evil do-er, a maleficus may well be a Masculine evil do-er. If I have been to translate the belief of a woman practicer of Wicca into Latin, i would not use the observe maleficus, i might call you a wiccana. My factor is, the bible in no way tells people to break woman practicers of Wicca, it asks people to break woman evil do-ers that get carry of help from the devil. Linguistically calling you a witch is a sprint a misnomer. If Christians provide you a complicated time, that's out of lack of understanding, no longer theology.

Read Genesis chapter 10. You will find the lineage of the three sons of Noah, Shem, Ham and Japheth.

The descendants of Japheth would move north and west into Europe and become the "white" races of today.

The descendants of Ham would move south into Africa and become the "black" races of today.

The descents of Shem would move east to become the "oriental" races of today. They would also remain in the Middle East to be come the Jews and Arabs (the Semitic races - from the name Shem)

So according to the Bible, the majority of the Bible where Semitic, not black or white. But some "blacks" appear such as Moses' wife who was black, or the Queen of Sheba. Also some whites included the Roman Emperor Augustus, Greek Christians such as Timothy and Luke, etc.

So the Bible has a mixture of all the races in its stories. It was written by authors of each race, and on Europe, Asia and Africa.

The Philistines were probably white. Japheth is probably the father of whites.
Jews and Arabs are Semitic.
Africans and Asians are Hamitic.
This is agreed upon by most all Bible Scholars.
I Cr 13;8a

But the important thing is that we all come from Adam.

And we are one in Christ.

Dear Molly,

The Bible does not focus on the color of people's skin. It focuses instead on the color of our hearts. It tells us that ALL have sinned and fallen short of God's glory.

No matter how good anyone is our goodness cannot save us or put us back into a right relationship with the Author of life. Therefore Jesus Christ died on the cross to make it possible for every person, no matter the color of their skin, to become part of His family.

Is Jesus your LORD and Savior? I sure hope so!

Dose any one care about the color of the people's skin that was in the bible? We are all humans so why worry if they where black or white.

If you believe that everyone in the Bible was black, that's fine. Everyone else is going to disagree with you, though.
Fiction or not, given the regions described in the Bible, everyone was olive- and dark-skinned.

1. No proof, not KNOW proof.

2. They were middle eastern. White, tanned, and darker skinned.

Why is this a big deal again?

At a guess some of the first Christians around would have had tanned/olive skin as they would have been around arab countries etc?

I'm intrigued, what evidence have you found to back up your theory?
