if temporary internet folders show images and date accessed, does that mean that the images were looked at?

or could they have been attached to some other site? i am trying to learn more about temporary internet files and how it works. all answers much appreciated. thanks xx

Most of the content, from text to images to video, on every page you have recently visited are stored under Temp Int Files (TIF).

If you have found images or video in the TIF then that means that that computer was used to access them. The only exception I would say is that it is possible the image/file/text could have come from a popup. Many popups have some 'dodgy' content.

However, if there are large numbers of pictures of a certain nature (pornographic for example), its safe to assume that somebody has accessed these types of websites. Using the domain name of the files, you can usually find which site they came from.

EG if the image is www.hotbabes.com/images/gallery/boobs.jpg, then take 'images/gallery/boobs.jpg' off and you have the site which was visited.

I work somewhere which offers public access to PCs and we use TIFs to prove whether or not a user has accessed something they shouldnt.

Clever buggers these internet web page designers.

Having the file on your machine doesnt mean you have looked at it, or looked at the web address it is from.

You can put an image on a web page that is from another web page by typing the link to it in the programming, Adverts are an example of this - the advertising company control them and send you a bit of cash every so often.

You can preload images into the temporary internet folder (or Cache), so that when you perform actions on the web page the images load quicker. If you dont do that action then the image isnt displayed but it is still there in the temporary internet folder

So for your problem with files from Adultfriend finder, they could be Advertising files that were displayed on another web site, or they could be preloaded images that wernt viewed.

So in answer to your question, No, the file doesnt mean it was looked at. However if there are several from the one web site, I would guess that the page has been looked at. If you are worried about being caught out looking at web pages you dont think you should look at then dont do it!!

Temporary Internet Files come from viewed web page and pop-ups it doesn't matter if you have looked at the picture if its on the site it will be saved there. Access times are updated every time the picture is displayed on the site.

i think of the media does play a huge place in many human beings's relationship standards despite if, it specifically relates to youthful social communities. pondering many human beings as they advance wiser and, greater mature, the shallow standards pass out the window for a super form of folk. i think of we would be a happier and, much less self wide awake society if human beings does not enable themselves substitute into so actual prompted by the media and, enable it set the factors for them instead of coming up and, following their very own unique flavor. yet what it comes right down to is, many human beings enable the media set the generally used for them through fact they incredibly be popular and, not be the butt of many jokes that concentration on what's deemed not socially suitable besides the reality that it incredibly is innocuous.
