There have been some complaints about airlines in the news. Some have been legit, but some have been petty, and now people want to introduce a passenger's bill of rights. This is a good idea, but I think it should go along with a passenger's Bill of Obligations. If you get obnoxious with security or a flight attendant, you are removed from the airport with no refund.

you say that like they can randomly land the plane just to kick someone off. which they can not do unless its an emergency.

I work for an airline, and personally, I think people should have to pass an IQ test to be eligible for the "bill of rights". LOL. The airlines need a passenger's bill of obligations if this nonsense happens.
The general public has NO IDEA what its like to deal with some passengers. I work in reservations, and people will actually call 1800xxxx to try and barter prices, argue over change fees, ask us to break federal law for them, and call just to complain to me that a flight was delayed due to weather and how its 'unacceptable' that we don't take off in a snowstorm. (the air traffic controller makes those decisions anyway!), call and complain about the security requirements (call TSA, not us!). I've also gotten personal threats because of stupid reasons like having to uphold my company's policy and not give a discount for someone having to fly because their daughter was going into labor. (Our prices are already among the lowest in the industry!)

You can imagine why the people that work at the airport are disgruntled sometimes- they have to deal with arrogant, entitled passengers in person face to face. Anyone that thinks its all the airlines' fault should work at a ticket counter for one week.

I love my job, but I'm sick of people not taking responsibility for their own actions- for example, if youre running late to your flight at 7am, guess what, thats YOUR fault, not the airline's for not holding the plane for YOU. Yes, people have cussed me out for making them late for their flight. The nerve of us airline folks.

I hope that at least provided the airline's perspective to this.. thanks for the vent, I gotta cut this short to go to work :)
