Hi, I will be travelling to New York for a short work related journey of 2 months. I was wondering if there are any good reliable gyms there that are open to tourists on short stay and do not overcharge.

Most NYC hotels have a fitness facility that are free for guests. If you're subletting, some modern buildings also have a small gym that are decent. Other gyms like NYSC and Crunch usually charge $30 for daily guest pass. You can always get a free week pass at each gym and end up getting 2 months free.

I can't remember which, but either Bally's or 24 hour is there and they charge a small fee. If you are staying at a hotel, the concierge or front desk can steer you to the nearest.
