I think you should be able to...why not? As long you got the immigration papers you are good to go. And make sure you have the profits to support yourselfs. Need proof of that .

If you plan on moving to the new world it's much harder once your over 45, It can still be done, but you will have to prove you have the skills and the money to be self sufficient and if possible be in a position to offer jobs for local workers. Australia and New Zealand work on a points system, and being over 45 is bad news for you.

Of course you can. Age is not a requirement to emigrate. Mexico is full of retired old people living in very nice towns and resorts. C'mon get your passport and travel and do whatever you want and enjoy life. 45 years old means that he is in his prime years! Good luck.

I should think so. If they where ever you are wanting to emigrate to turn you down because of that, it would be the base for an age discrimination law suit!

Of course, many of the British ex-pat population in Spain is retired persons. It depends where you want to emigrate to, you will need to read up on their particular entry conditions.

It depends on where you want to emigrate. Iceland and Finland have laws against old farts coming into their country, but I think England and Ireland don't...

If you are thinking of going to Australia, it may be a little bit more complicated, but if you have loads of money you can go where the hell you like, that's the kind of world we live in.

Ritch has this one. Some countries openly court retirees so long as they have health coverage and sufficient funds, others not so much.
