in what way do islamic and christian fundamentalists differ? they both try to control the individual and coerce into there own view often by violence whats the difference one says jesus the other allah.

The world is trying to adjust to the collision of two vastly different philosophies. On the whole, Islam is a religion of peace--but there is a significant minority of violent, fundamentalist Islamics who give the religion a bad name, and the governments of Islamic countries sit quietly by, or offer support to these misanthropic men. They take bits and pieces of their scripture and rally around them for evil rather than good. While there is much that is good in the Islamic teachings, here are some examples of the problem-causing scriptures--
Qur’an 8:60 “Infidels should not think that they can get away from us. Prepare against them whatever arms and weaponry you can muster so that you may terrorize them.”

Bukhari:V4B52N260 “The Prophet said, ‘If a Muslim discards his religion, kill him.’”

Qur’an 5:51 “Believers, take not Jews and Christians for your friends.”

Sahih Bukhari V6B61N577:
I heard the Prophet saying, "In the last days (of the world) there will appear young people with foolish thoughts and ideas. So, wherever you find them, kill them, for there will be a reward for their killers on the Day of Resurrection."

Bukhari [4:52:177]: Allah's Apostle said, "The Hour will not be established until you fight with the Jews, and the stone behind which a Jew will be hiding will say. "O Muslim! There is a Jew hiding behind me, so kill him!"

Bukhari, V1B4N234: "A group of people from the Oreyneh and Oqayelh tribes came to the prophet to embrace Islam, the prophet advised them to drink the urine of the camels. Later on when they killed the prophet's shepherd, the prophet seized them, gouged out their eyes, cut their hands and legs, and left them thirsty in the desert to die."

MY RESPONSE--
As Christians, sometimes we have a hard time turning the other cheek--but it's generally not in our nature to be the offender. Our nation was built on tolerance, and we're not islamophobic, or against any religion! We're fanaticphobic. And terroristphobic. We want to be able to take our families to Disneyland without having to worry about being maimed or killed by a raving lunatic who thinks he has a mission from God, and who thinks forcing others to bow down with a gun to their head is acceptable.
We find ANY RELIGION--including Islamic fundamentalism--to be BARBARIC, distasteful, and a mockery of true religion WHEN it is used as an excuse to do EVIL.

So, all violent religious nuts of any religion, listen closely--if WE did what YOU do, WE would be executed as criminals by our own courts! Trying to spread religion by force can be compared to using the KKK and its violence to spread Christianity. The IDEA is abominable to us, and to ALL civilized people, REGARDLESS of religion!
So, to ANYONE who would use religion as an excuse to be cruel, murderous or evil--GET YOUR ACT TOGETHER!

Look, there is no difference. Religions are all one, Jewish, Christian, Islamic religions (by order of arrival) came from God who chose certain people to be His apostles. We all worship God and we all believe in the same things. If u look in the Holy Books you'll see no difference. I am a muslim myself. I don't like the way ppl differentiate between religions around the world I believe that everyone is the same.
I have Christian friends, and guess what , we call each other on our festives (i mean Holy Festivals) like Christmas, etc.
My mom is also Christian and my dad is Muslim ( which goes but when a Christian man marries a Muslim woman that is not allowed in religion).
The religious groups are the ones who believe there's a difference. They are wrong, totally wrong because we are all human beings created from dust and to dust we will go back. WE are all going to be judged by one God and for WHAT WE DID not WHAT WE BELIEVE IN. HOpe this answers ur question

Note: Religion groups are the ones who drive planes into buildings. What happened on the 9/11 was shocking to everyone around the globe. Not americans only. Noone likes violence and muslims , to say the least. Whomever is attacking Islam does so because he doesn't know much about it and that goes to all who attack the other religions. If in doubt ask those concerned and you'll get the answer but choose the right person to ask and be sure he or she is not a racist. I have been attacked a lot for my religion but i assure u that my mom and dad leave in peace and they love each other dearly. I don't know how to prove this but everyone who saw them said so.

Just my opinion, but similar to yours, both Religions seem to be just variants on the same idea as are many others yet Religion as well as the obvious territory gain always seems to play the biggest part in Wars starting - why? Islamic fundies have shown unpredictable: You never know which one would blow your a** up.

Christian fundies use other ways: politics, diplomacy, peaceful protests, etc. (That's how they behaved so far, at least)

It's not about naming God. It's about "being on top". Christian fundies ASK (at least) their ladies before making decisions.
