Being responsible with your credit cards is great...Just be forewarned that only something like 17% of the population pay off their balance every month. Also, just by using the card, you are probably going to spend about 20-30% more than you would if you payed cash. The reason is because when you use cash, it emotionally registers with you that you're spending money. With a credit card, you don't have that. I would avoid them alltogether. Open a checking account with a Visa checkcard, almost everyone accepts these nowadays, and you won't have to worry about interest rates or late charges.

As long as you use a credit card responsibly they are great! for one thing most card companies will replace stolen funds, they will often also extend warrentees on some items, you can also speed up receiving purchases made online by not having to wait for your check or money order to get there by mail, also most card companies will help you get your money back for items that end up being ripoffs in that you can request a stop payment even if the stores policy is no cash refunds only store credits A credit card is also one of the best ways to build up your credit score which will be nice when it comes time that you need a loan to buy a new car or even a house

I have six credit cards. But I never felt that they are enemy. They are non living things so they cannot be classified into friends or enemies. They come in handy during emergencies, plus it can save you from the hazzards of carrying heavy cash.
You must learn to use the cards wisely. You can rean reward points as well as get upo cent per cent cash back, (what you purchase becomes free as the amount debited is reversed.) Plus bill payments, money transfers become very easy.

Bad credit is one of the worst problems to have... however there exists a solution.
I will hereby talk from my personal experience.
I did debt consolidation a couple of years ago, however If I had to do it again I would pay to some minor details,
if someone wants to get out of debt today it is pretty easy with a debt consolidation plan, however it may get a bit tricky at times, I suggest you get as much information as possible online on this first,
a good place to start in my humble opinion is astraight to the point ebook with question and answer I found :

Only if you cannot control yourself. I think a credit card is important. I travel alot and I feel safer having a credit card on me for emergency expenses. My balance is paid monthly. How can a credit card be bad if you act responsibly with it?

Store credit cards are. Dont get those because I had personal experience with returning an item and they said they never got it but I had a tracking number that said it was returned, they were outsourced to india and I had to write letters, and all it did was screw my shyt up. Cancel all MERCHANT credit cards....especially if they are outsourced to India where they dont understand and they mislead you...
