Maybe you started sleeping with your mouth open. That and it's winter now, there is less moisture in the air. Also, it's cold season. If your nose is stuffy you'll breathe through your mouth, especially when you're asleep. Get a humidifier if you want it to get better.

Could be because you are sleeping with your mouth open, this happens when you are usually in a deep, heavy sleep. Also drinking a lot of alcohol will not help or smoking.

its winter and cold. The heater in your home dries the air. Try a humidifier, a cool mist one works great.
