Go to your state judicial website. Mine is (name of state here)statejudiciary.com. On the website, there's a link to DUI offenders and to sex offenders. If you find a sex offender you want more information about, go the "case look-up" link. At that link, follow the instructions and you'll probably only have to type in the name of the person you are seeking. That will tell you what he was convicted of doing. BTW, my website is case-sensitive. I guess the only caution is to check the website for the exact offense if one lives near you. What IS a sexual offense differs slightly in the various states. Urinating in public might be a sexual offense in 1 state, but not another. If that's the offense, the sexual offender is probably no danger to you. Also, on the website, see if his crime involves children or adults. Of course women can be sex offenders, too. Having sexual relations with a minor is the most common offense for women offenders and that could be a danger to your children, too.

There is a national web site that will show where they live on a map, I'm just not sure what it is,,,,,I'm sure someone will have the website soon enough, but it shows your house and dots where registered sex offenders live around you. You might be surprised or scared (like I was) about how many live in my neighborhood, but I was also informed that many of those were misdemeanors like public nudity or having sex in public. I feel like we should know what types of crimes these registered sex offenders have done that might impact my child walking home from school one day, and yes, a picture of them would be helpful.
The website was meaningless to me, since there were so many and it was not to say that any of them were rapists, child molesters, etc. Also, some sex offenders skip the law and live without registering, making me feel like I need to drop off and pick my children up from school personally.
I just pray everyday for my children that God would keep them safe when I am not around, and even when I am around, I say the same prayer, since there is so much that can happen against my will by those types. If God is for me, then who can be aagainst me...I love that verse.

I m not sure about minnisota , but they have online sites that can show you where convicted sex offenders live.Also call your local police station they should be able to tellyou or guide you to the right place.
