Which coast? The east coast, what I am currently looking at is sunny and calm (cold though!) at the moment. The Irish Weather Forecasting agency is met eireann and can be found at www.met.ie.

The east coast is, generally, much calmer then the west but has much stronger tidal streams. The west coast is, in my opinion, much more beautiful and interesting to sail but has (much) larger swell and stronger winds.
