Olive oil is good. However the olive we get is mostly for cooking. You dont get an olive oil meant for the hair. Olive oil is rich in vitamin E and very light. It is the best oil meant for cooking, because it is not fatty like the other oils. It is very expensive. You do get a local brand of olive oil meant for massage for babies, but I dont think you can use it for your hair. Even if you oil your hair you should wash you hair immediately and not keep hair oil for a long time, because of the condition of your hair. Try the new Parachute (champi) because it has hair smoothening serum in it. However, wash off your hair after 1 hour and never keep the oil in it, as it attract dust causes further infections which will start a host of other problems including dandruff!

No, olive oil is not very sticky like the coconut oil. and since u have very oily hair, dear u don havto use more oil. if at all u must, apply it jus once a week at night n wash in the morning. use cotton to apply on ur scalp, not a handful of oil...wash ur hair 3 to 4 times a week.and try applying henna once or twice a mnth. good luck to u!!

Am myself a user of Olive Oil for last two years. However it is not suited for hairs as it is as viscous as the Mustard Oil.
Olive oil is best suited to apply on your hands and legs if you have a dry skin. It is a far better and a natural chemical free option than most of the body moisturisers. However it may not substitute for a common hair oil.

i dont think u should put any olive oil in ur hair
but if u do make sure u wash it out well afterwards
u should also distinguish betweeen oily hair and oily scalp.
if its the scalp that is oily, i suggest u rinse the ends of ur hair with conditioner or even leave in conditioner and wash the scalp with specially formulated shampoo. head and shoulders works great for oily scalps

yah, olive oil if you use too much or when your hair is already dry up, then you will feel a little bit sticky, but you can try to use it juts after towel dry, this would help to esolve faster and would not have sticky feeling of your hair....

Don't use oil on oily hair. You're defeating your purpose. Use a good shampoo and conditioner. Talk to a salon.

To clean it? Why would you put oil in your hair?
You want a shampoo meant for oily hair, not to add more oil.
