During the pregnancy, encourage the mother to be as active as normal. She isnt really in a delicate condition. By running and keeping fit, she will be much more capable to handle a long, drawn out labor.
If you wasn't even thinking about breeding...please spay your dog before she create their first unwanted litter.

Yes, she probably is. All females have different time tables for breeding. You can't go by what usually holds true. Pups will be here in about 63 days from mating.

yes you female can. my sheltie was breed on about her 17 day and had a litter of 4 puppies

Yes. Dogs don't read the books that tell them when they *should* be ready. She could be ready early or you might have missed the beginning.
If she'll stand, she's probably ready.
