Heeheehee! This is a question that has been raised many times in our household.Sweetcorn does seem to reform internally doesn't it? My husband has invented something called the sweetcorn timeline. This involves timing the difference between when you actually ate the sweetcorn to when you see the last yellow floater.Gross but hilarious!

I've been told its the actual skin of the sweetcorn that stays intact as you can't digest it. Therefore its the skin/shell you are seeing, not the actual sweetcorn.

Its actually just the whole skin! you don't actually chew through this! When you bite it the corn just pops out of the skin & you swallow the skin whole it may be just crushed a bit sometimes.

Your stomach does not digest the skins & thats why they appear in you poo!

I have always wondered - I can only assume that some are swallowed whole and your digestion system is unable to digest corn.

oooo you look at your poo!!!!!

That's because the sweetcorn kernel takes ages to break down so you dump it quicker than your stomach can digest it.

Because it is fibre; in that the body doesn't digest it - it helps move waste along to be dumped out the back door!

And those aren't carrots in your vomit, it's bits of the stomach lining...
