Heres the thing, my girl and I have been together a while and I dont like to just consider her my gf just as she doesnt just consider me her bf. We're not engaged or anything but we feel we're more than bf/gf. My question is, how do we categorize what we are? We're really in love, plan on moving in together and getting married some time within the next year. Thanx for your answers.

Well if you are planning to marry in the next year I would say that you are engaged or at best pre engaged. That to me means that all you need is the ring and the date!

Yes, very odd indeed...you are bf/gf for as long as you're not married. Other terms you can use..'lovers' / 'partners'.

well, if you want to use the term they put on celebrities that have been together forever, but never married, "life partners"

The best answer is to ask your other half, i'm sure she'd be able to answer you, and atleast you'll know where you stand
