u know there r cases when i cant stand them suffering and try to buy them shoe-ploishing instruments or give them small stall jobs! i know it's again illegal (child labour in case of children beggars).... but later, i just wait to realise that they have sold those things or stolen money from those places! old habits die hard! we shud stop generating that habit!!!

The original by an unknown author "Give a man a fish; you have fed him for today. Teach a man to fish; and you have fed him for a lifetime" is a great eye-opener for us all. If we do our share to realize this author's insight, giving money to the street beggars would be avoided if not totally eradicated.

I'd rather give a street begger money that I wondered if he really needed it than to walk away and not give him money that he really did need. What's a few coins if you have them to give? Some folks beg out of laziness. Some folks beg out of necessity. I'd rather be wrong about their laziness.

you r rite. give a biscuit or some thing to eat. its well said that u shudnt give a person, a thing which he/she doesn't deserve., and beggars definitely dont deserve money.

i guess that not giving money would not be so good. wat if in some case they r real poor beggers.mayb u should somehow investigate and get to know if not possible mayb u should help them and act as a good person and then it is up to them how they use it.
