I would suggest a Chihuahua. They stay small and they are easier to care for than a large or medium dog.

Boxers are medium-ish they have a tendency to move to the large part, but i have two boxers in my apartment and in no way had an problem, they're very very powerful and resistant, their wellbeing issues are quite often genetic, but they don't mind heat or cold, their coat is handy to hold, so neighbors will not complain about flying hairballs, they sleep in my mattress and it can be no longer a horrible mess, and so they love to get hugged and cuddled, and if you want a canine with the intention to comply with you around you will on no account get ample with this guys, many times i think there are magnets on my kees and their heads since the're invariably around me!, additionally they are VERY totally trainable they like to head out so much, they do enjoy lengthy walks even within the rain, bloodless, snow, they quite do not care, and so they do require excercise so you'll be in a position to potty coach them to "outside" in just a few days, they outsmart a lot of other breeds, i suppose i particularly love this breed in exact, but different just right choices are: terriers (most often any breed of terrier, they are incredible smart and sweet), Spaniels, (for the bloodless any spaniel will do because of their long curly hair) Shepherds or collies (medium-smallish ones like Australian Shepperd, or border collie) Anyway, ALL dogs Rock, i hope you may have a distinctive experience with your pooch!

Chihuahuas are great little dogs. They can usually get enough exercise in the home. You can train them to use puppy pads or a litter box if you wanted. They love to be held, and are happy to be anywhere their owner is. They will even love to go for a car ride anytime you want to take them. They do get cold easily though so you may want to get them a coat or keep a blanket in your car for it.

You need to find a dog that isn't so spunky, that does not need too much room to romp and run. I love my shitz-hu.(sorry, can never spell it correctly)..have had him for 6 years and he is loyal and loving and not a barker or a furniture destroyer...they are also easily housebroken if given the proper attention and walked regularly...can be paper trained if that is what you wish...
