He thinks this is the best way to attract ur attention. He believes that teasing and annoying is such a good thing and that you'll like it. well, try to put his attention on this point and tell him frankly that if he likes u he'll have to stop annoying and teasing you and that you don't like tht at all. He might not know it's wrong so go ahead and tell him. It's better for both of yu.

He wants the attention. Sounds weird, but that's what young guys do. Some attention is better than nothing. He thinks you're having fun being teased and hopes you notice his other attributes and fall for him.

Some guys have this mentality that if they tease a girl they like then she is gonna give him a lot of attension, importance and etc. etc. For example there is a guy in our school who keeps on disturbing and teasing a girl, and he is madly after her. He thinks that may be his "jokes" will make her give him a lot of attension. Your case is similar.

He's just trying to get attention from you. He probably doesn't really know how to flirt and talk to you so it's easier for him to tease you.

He's immature, and hasn't mastered the art of communication yet. Girls mature quicker than boys, and it sounds as if this is another case in point. Tell him to stop treating you like a kid, and start treating you like a girlfriend, especially since he said that he likes you.

Because he doens't know how to get positive attention from you and figures negative attention is better than none at all.
