vista is crap at the moment they are still ironing out the bugs its just like windows 98 when it came out i would leve it a month or two so that they can get lots of updats and the serface pack two out to fix lotsof the problems it has.

it has lots of problems becuse they have rushed it out to the shops but i would wait or even stay with XP because its good for games vista is not quite capable of playing games on it unless you have the ultamate edition

hope this helps

Hello,

(ANS) As always Microsoft make huge marketing claims for there new version of windows. But as far as I can see Microsoft Windows Vista has become much much more like an AppleMac than ever before.

**Hardware requirements are pretty hefty in my opinion and require 1GB of memory and massive GB's for the installation.

**Biggest new feature is the user interface which is called "Aero-Glass" which are transparent windows that can be overlapped on each other.

**Virtual folders

**Redesign of the shell i.e. windows explorer & internet explorer

**improved core filing system with core files rewritten with improved security in mind (They say its harder to hack/crack).

**New Anti fraud features, anti piracy features, not only product key, activation, WGA, but time limited activation. Meaning that you get 30days to register your copy of Vista and after that Vista goes into crippled mode (features are extremely limited, restricted as to make it almost useless until you register).

**Is it worth upgrading? in my opinion No! NOT yet anyway. Wait until Microsoft bring out the first Windows Vista service pack and then look again at it.

**The main reason NOT to upgrade is a) XP is possibly the best version of windows ever, so its going to be almost impossible to improve on that b) The requirements to run Vista at anything like a good performance & speed are much higher (costsly) than many peoples current hardware, so if you did upgrade you may well be in for disappiontment.

It has slightly translucent window borders...and is loaded with restrictive DRM to slow your computer down and generally hinder you...I've got my £350, where can I get a copy?

Vista is the newer version of windows - meaning that its better than XP. Everytime they improve on some features or they add new features they release a new version!
