The answer is NO, both are in the same drug family and work in very similar ways. Diclofenac or Voltarol is stronger than Aspirin, and if the Diclofenic has been prescribed which it should have been, then take that and leave the aspirin, but please make sure you eat or take with milk as both can upset your stomach. If you are still unsure then ask at your local chemist

First, why in the world would you want to take these medications? Ibroprufen damages your liver and that is one organ you don't want to screw up. The aspirin you buy in stores is not natural willow bark; it is a synthetic version. Both of these are generating large amounts of "free radicals" in the body that will shorten your life.

If you are listening to the legal drug pushers and drug companies they would love for you to take these every day. I remember the T.V. ads that said smoking was great and it made you look hip. If the FDA really did their job, we would not be pushing these drugs on our people.

You need to ask yourself, "is the enjoyment I'm getting from these drugs worth the risk I'm taking." I suggest you fix the problem that is causing you pain. This will give you the best chance of living longer, feeling better, and not getting all the side effects from the drugs. Just because they are sold over the counter does not mean they are good for you.

Rememeber, the liver needs to be taken care of, not abused. If your liver is compromised, you will not be able to convert some of your "B" vitamins such as cyanocobalamine into methylcobalamine and this deficiency will create long term degenerative disease. The bile the liver produces will be compromised and you will not digest your fats efficiently and coronary heart disease will be a result.

If your legal drug pusher is suggesting these drugs, I suggest you need a new health consultant that is going to put you on the road to health not long term damage.

They're not necessarily incompatible with each other, but they both belong to the category of drugs known as non-steroidal anti-inflammatories and these (NSAIDS) aren't suitable for people with heart or kidney problems unless the doctor has made an informed decision to prescribe them.

However, they're both likely to irritate the stomach lining, which is why you should be advised not to take them on an empty stomach and not take them if you've a history of gastric problems. If you feel at all nauseous when taking them, consult your doctor ASAP. I assume that you're under the care of a doctor anyway because this is quite a strong dosage, especially if you're planning on taking them for a long time.

Ring your doctor or pharmacist. These tablets are not usually prescribed together .There may well be a reason that you have been prescribed them but it is as well to check. They may irritate your digestive system and another combination of pain killers may be more suitable.---if indeed the aspirin is for pain relief. As you are taking only one a day it maybe for other purposes and entirely appropriate in the small dosage you are taking --only your Dr or pharmacist can advise you properly we can only guess!

Basically both of these medications are in the family of anti inflammatory drugs. You really should not combine the two. You can always check with your pharmacist for a more detailed explanation or talk to your medical doctor.

You can't take asprin and ibroprufen together and diclofenic are a slow release anti inflammatory so I don't think it is a good idea, but if it has come from your doc it must be ok. You can take Paracetamol with anti inflammatories though.

I would never mix strong medication like those two together, if u need to take them both, take them a few hours apart, or get a combination pill.

Please do not ask medical advices specially about medication here.

Not everyone here is a doctor and we don't want anything to happen to you by misdiagnosis.

You may even have allergic reactions to other drugs.

See you doctor. good luck
