Now her ultrasound shows a deteriorated scan and her blood tests show bad liver function. Is it time? What should we expect from now on? Will she be given more chemo? Should her family be prepared for the worst soon? Should we prepare her and for what?

Well liver cancer is rarely caught in time to do anything about it so be glad they have done what they have done.

A friend of mine went into the hospital on a friday and was diagnosed with liver cancer and came home on monday and died on thursday. Usually liver cancer you go very quick once diagnosed.

Your liver is what filters your blood and breaks down meds so it has to work hard to deal with the chemo. They may or may not give her chemo...depending on what the tests say.

I don't want to say it is time...but i would spend as much time as i can with her.

Sounds as though the time may be near. But only God knows that for sure. Just be there for her. I doubt she will be given any more chemo, cause that is also bad on the liver. She will begin to show signs of liver failure if she hasnt already like jaundice, which is yellow discoloration of the skin.
