God does not put names "in advance" of salvation. You get saved - your name is written down. You later choose a different path other than the revealed salvation of God, He removes your name because (by your choice) you asked Him to. It is up to you if your name is there or not. You can certainly change your mind and God will allow you to do so. No one is forced into heaven. btw the scripture you are referring to was spoken to the disciples who were believers - so of course their names were written.

Dear
I think its important for all of us to know what is conscious level and not limit our opinions of anything to hard liners as well as thoughts of one person.
Read what others say about religion, God. Know other religions. don't leave your faith on God but remember as written by someone too in one of the answers.... God has not told u anything. What u know is only by what others long long ago felt and wrote. God is bigger then that. He created all Good and Bad as for him nothing is good and bad. These terms are comparative terms. What is bad for you may not be bad for someone else or even for u at a later time.
Read the book called Conversation with God.
See i also believe in God the same way my ancestor and my parents tough me too but that was there conscious level and if i stop there then actually i lower my conscious level. read about other religions and u will find answer to all

Simple. Everybody that has ever been born, or that will ever be born has his/her name written in the Book of Life. Jesus says that if you die without accepting His free offer of salvation for your sin, which He obtained for you by dying on the cross, then you must pay for your own sins. YOU have effectively chosen to remove your name from the Book of Life. God makes it official and blots it out. No need to complicate things by calling into question Gods omniscient or mercy.----theBerean

God doesn't make mistakes.
He gave mankind free will. A human makes mistakes and wrong choices and because of this, his or her name is blotted out.
The Book of Life is the book where the name of everyone who has ever been born is recorded.
When a person's name is blotted out it is because they did not accept Jesus Christ as their Savior.
Those who do accept Christ have their names written in the Book of the Lamb.

Are you for sure that he is removing names from the book of life...
This is something that the bibles says... ?I believe the bible has alot of good to it. But as with all things, we need to read and decide for ourselves what we believe, and leave the rest.. I do not believe we have a god that is discriminating..

A scribe, returning from a wine and monk bread break, writning with poor candle lighting, may have entered a name twice, thus God has to make a correction because the *white out* has all been used up and no one ordered a replacement from the office supply store.

Do you think that silly statements like this will just make God wink out of existence?
How do you know that he's omniscient? Did he tell you or did you get it from a man-made source?
How do you know that there's an actual book of life and not just the imaginary one in the vision?
How do you know the procedure for putting names in and taking them out?

I think we remove our names from the Book of Life when we don't get saved. Belief and faith in Jesus Christ is the only way to get to heaven.
Jesus Christ said, "I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life. No one comes to the Father except through Me."
We are given ever chance to repent and turned to Jesus.

God knows who goes and who stays, He knows everything. We need to fear Him, I think thats why it is written in The Word Of God...

Seems that way doesn't it? That's just one of many situations where God contradicts himself in the Bible.
