Sandra. I see you have been experiencing the same frustration we all suffer living abroad and the services we get at our diplomatic missions.
The US Consulate's around the world have been quite abusive for some time, and the personnel acts with prepotency, insulting us and even threaten us if we try to ask for respect.
The organization I represent takes very seriously all claims that US Diplomatic Missions are mistreating our fellow citizens. I would like to know more about your experiences in the matter.
You or any American expatriate who feels have been mistreated, disrespected or has a problem with an US Consulate (no matter the country of residence) can write me to iex@ifasc.org or dgon1329@yahoo.com.

with the aid of fact he's an fool himself and dosen't comprehend that some people are smarting then him and his "we could make a transformation" marketing campaign. He has never worked complicated an afternoon of his existence. All he does is communicate a huge pastime and tax the help out individuals little men that he would desire to care much less approximately. He will no longer be able to even instruct his very own beginning certificates or citizenship checklist. He had a faux one created in hopes that he would desire to fool us. Sorry Obama, we can possibly no longer have long gone to Harvard, yet we've extra worry-unfastened experience then you definately and are not that stupid.

As an American living abroad, I can sympathize with you when you say that we are sometimes expected to be "ambassadors". I for one, am tired of defending myself and my country when I´m abroad, since many people barrage me with questions about politics and ask me why the US is the way that it is, as if I were personally responsible for my country´s foreign policies. Just ignore it as best you can and try not to get too hot under the collar. Being cool and collected in your answers will make them realize that they can´t upset you and they´ll eventually find another target.

As long as you're an American, supporting your country in a time of war is a virtue; it's called "patriotism".
Your country is a good one, and you should never feel embarrassed to support it in the way you see fit.
When you find that you can no longer do this, do us all a favor and stop calling yourself a "yank".

Good grief, aren't you done whining yet? So some poor person made the mistake of asking you directions and you get paid peanuts, put on your big girl pants and deal with it! Move on for the love of God.
