My Answer is a definite YES and i believe that was one of the reasons why our ancestors had so much experiences with the Almighty.
Take my typical case as an example. i work in the IT segment, which drains down my time and energy (People often mistake that IT people have a stress free life working in fancy cubicles in air conditioned environments...NO we don't). At the end of the day, i hardly have some spare time with me and i just want to crash and God would be the last thing on my mind. And in the mornings im usually late to wake up and its a MAD rush every week day. And then come the weekends, where i get up around noon after a week full of STRESS and i sit in front of the TV and let my time down the drain.
Now coming to the question - Yes if i had a more relaxed stress free environment, i would definitely have more time and focus on God.

But there's also a converse to this answer :) i believe its all in our hands no matter how much stress, we can still focus on God, and i think that wonderful person that he is, he has also understood our limited time and is ready to HEAR us if we can only for a moment silence our eternal noise and say Hi to him.
So its up to us to MAKE time for him.
I am yet to make time for him, and im not feeling nice about it.

A better question would be do you think parishiners would get off their lazy butts group together and start solving even just the homeless problem if there was more time?

Religious people always seem to think that the answer is to hear the Word of GOD and the world will be right.
I doubt if there was more time that religious leaders would use it to effort towards helping other people that are strangers but need help.
Ask most religious leaders they say all someone needs is The Word of GOD and thats their aim.
Well when a homeless person has gone without food for 3 days, he needs a sandwhich from someone and maybe a warm bed before he can listen, otherwise he will be more focuced on his own survival.

So when are religious people going ot get off their butts and start helping people instead of saying come ot my group listen to my word?
"kindness to the poor and oppressed is an act of worship"

In this fast paced world, dont you have time for fun, entertainment, drinks, etc and etc. But the only way we can have time is to set apart days/hours from all other works to spend with our Creator and God.Even if God had given us more time, we would still be going fast. God has fixed the age for every man, if God feels He should take the man's life away, He will surely know that even if God had given him more time, it will still be useless.
Do think about God and just talk to Him when you sit in a bus for travel, or when you have no one to talk to or anytime you feel like, He listens more sincerely than the sincerity that you tell. I am telling this with more confidence and confidence comes with real experience what I learnt from God.

No amount of time nor searching will ever prove the existence of "god" nor will anyone ever know for certain about "god" until they are dead, because 'God" will never show 'Himself" at any time or for any reason.
There was a report about Stephen Hawkin once, where he tried to prove the existence of "God" and he couldn't do that, the smartest person in the world couldn't even realise that there was no possible way to prove or disprove 'God" existed, which makes you start to wonder just how smart some people can be.

U don't find god if u have more time. U can find god in the commotion and disturbances of a fast paced city. U should have a relaxed state of mind, undisturbed by the external commotions to hear god's communication.

The trick is to find God in the middle of the rat race. He is just as much present there as He is when all is quiet and peaceful.

If we follow the teachings of Christians where "no work is accepted" and Jesus died for their sins and now they are fornicating, gambling, stealing, drinking, liying, having kids without marriage in the name of God. I don't see that these people will ever spend time finding God, but they will spend all their time in the bars, beaches, with women.....

Probably not.

I’d like to imagine we'd all find more time to find a more rational alternative that religion. Perhaps we'd all have time to return to a more in-depth study of ourselves as beings and seek out a social morality which focused on our needs for social evolution rather than the imposed laws of a supposed deity.

I CANT REMEMBER OR FIND OUT WHEN OR WHETHER THIS WORLD WAS EVER SLOW FOR ANY OF ITS INHABITANTS.

IT IS NOT LIKELY TO SLOW DOWN IN THE FUTURE ALSO.

YET I THINK A FEW MANAGED / MANAGE TO SPEND OR AT LEAST TRIED / TRY TO SPEND MORE TIME WITH GOD.

SO IT IS BASICALLY A QUESTION OF SIMPLY SETTLING DOWN, NOT WITH NOTHING ELSE IN YOUR MIND, BUT TO TRY SETTLING DOWN WITH GOD ON YOUR MIND.

all i can say is that for islam finding God isnt for those who have time on their hands but it's an integral part of the day be it busy or not.muslims find God in working with honesty ad integrity;they find him in raising their children the best way they could and they find him in their 5 prayers.Basically, they find him in every good thing they do,not as a watchful power only but as a helper in their everyday hardships and struggles
