Rose Barton was an Irish artist about the turn of the century. She painted in watercolour and I think mainly street scenes .
When I was engaged in 1984 just before my marriage there was house sale at a place called Elveden in Suffolk . There were many pictures by her and we daerly wanted to buy one but the prices rocketed and we didn¨t ( we did however get a lovely irish chest of drawers which i am looking at now . ) I have the catalogue somewhere so if you really want to know more i can look it out for you .
