One single yellow rose will let her know that you dig her but not creep her out. Whatever you do, do not give her red roses, not even one, on the first date. It looks to commital and creepy cuz they symbolize love and you dont her to think you are obsessed and in love with her already on the first date.

well. depends on what type of girl you are dating. some girls do find flowers very impractical. a good impression is a must. and also remember to pay the bill for dinner. maybe a nice necklace will do the job. and you could put in on for her too. =)
