What a sorry mess! I thought at first glance 'ginger' had the right idea, but no g'tee this will work out, you will end up in court again
So the best suggestion is the other one get to the Citizens advice bureau speak to one of their solicitors, if he doesn't know then no one will.
All I can say is good luck.

I'm afraid you have a legal contract with the finance company to maintain the agreed repayments - they're not interested in whether the car works or not, just in getting back their money.
Try the CAB, but I suspect all they can suggest is contacting the finance company again to try and sort something out. Having already agreed to reduced payments by the look of it, I doubt if they'll be sympathetic.
Sorry.

I'm not sure what your expecting to hear. The finance company aren't interested if the car runs or not. They are only interested in getting their money back. If you got the car reposessed they would sell it for what they could but you would still be liable for any shortfall.
If the car came from a trader is it still within its warranty period? If so you could try pursuing them for help with repair.

Unlucky, unlucky, unlucky.
you are out of lucky, coz you didnt pay your chuckie.
If there is no warranty, you are still liable for the loan until paid off, whether the car is roadworthy or not. If you do not make any more payments, you will get another ccj, and they will ask for the money in full

Check your finance agreement carefully.
You should be able to hand the car back if you have paid more than half of the finance.
You might still have to get it running first but check the agreement.
