A couple inches will not effect the tattoo at all, yes if you go from a 40 waist to a 32 waist you might see that the tattoo is sagged depending if your skin sags, everyone is different.

I found the book to be very informative and easy to read.
I've lost 17 pounds in 12 days, I'm just concerned that I'm losing too much weight, too quickly. I will admit I haven't followed the guide exactly. I'm not sticking perfectly to the listed foods and meal plans (but mostly) and doing very little exercise, but the weight keeps flying off.
It clearly works and if I'd followed it exactly I think it would scare the living daylights out of me because of the amount that I'd lose. So thanks again for the information. I've never purchased anything like this before because they are usually full of trash, but 3WD has been a pleasant surprise.

I would use cocoa butter to help with the elasticity of your skin, and also helps prevent stretch marks which are often caused when you gain/lose weight frequently. I have a faded-in tribal tattoo on my lower back and when I lost 50 lbs the only change that I noticed is it became more solid colored, and slightly crooked on my back... If it had been on my stomach - different story. sooo... Cocoa butter and keeping your weight consistent instead of frequent loss/gain would be a good bet for you and your tattoo! p.s. a tattoo on the ribs HURTS BADLY!!!!! you might want to get it while you are at the 35 so it's not as close to your bone!

It would depend on the elasticity of your skin (how well your skin goes back into shape after being stretched)...if the skin doesn't sag it will not effect it...if the skin sags than yes it will effect the appearance of a tattoo

2 TO 3 inches will not affect the tattoo to much. more than that, then maybe. but as long as you are done growing, you will never grow or shrink fast enough to ruin the tat. find some people that have em there and see what they say.

Don't worry about the tattoo, worry about all the stretch marks from gaining and losing like that...very unhealthy!

As long as you do not lose too much from your waste then it should make little difference.
I have a few tattoo's and weight fluctuation has made little difference in them.
