India has as much military (and brain) as it can hold the attack of pakistan for a week. Not more than that. I am sure, and I am not from Pakistan or India, and I am not joking too. The only reason India needs military strength is to sustain the attacks around the borders. period.

India has 1325(thousands) active troops plus 1155(thousands) in reserve...4800 tanks and 738 aircrafts
but including paramilitary troops India counts 3,773,300 soldiers

With a population of 1 billion, what do you expect the figure to be.
The figure could easily be in the millions, especially with the border problems with Pakistan.
