My son is smart, he can follow directions like putting toys, dishes, clothes, trash, shoes were they need to go. And he can talk when he wants. Very understanding.

Hi, firstly you just need lost of patience, take him to the toilet before he goes toe bed for a nap, always use the same words and keep your tone light and play full so he doesn't feel pressured or put on the spot, i used the word "piepie", then put him on the toilet and wait long enough for him to feel comfortable if he got it right make a big fuss and congratulate him (so that he feels proud, like he accomplished something great) do the same when he wakes up from his nap, and you will start to anticipate when he might want to go, about an hour after he had something to drink, then do the same ritual again, soon he will associate going to the toilet with fun and he gets praise for doing it. After a while he will come to you and say "piepie" and then you will know, again make a fuss run to the toilet clap your hands and say jipppeee lets make a big piepie, before you know it he will go on his own. the first few days are the worst but you will be amazed at how fast they learn. It worked for me, hope it helps you!

I know how you feel. I have a 3.5 year old son and hes still potty training. I have tried the potty chart with stickers and a prize at the end of the week. That seemed to really work with him. I think boys are harder to train. They are more stubborn. When hes completely ready, he'll use the potty. Try not to get frustrated and be very patient with him. Have him go in the bathroom with you when you go. Keep the potty in whatever room your in, that way he doesnt have to go far to use it. Keep asking him every 30 minutes or so if he has to go. Make sure he has pull-ups on and once he starts to get the hang of going, try underware in the day and diapers at night.

I TRAINED MY SON OUTSIDE.YES I KNOW IT SOUNDS HILL BILLY BUT NOTHING ELSE WORKED. HE THOUGHT IT WAS SO DANG FUNNY TO PEE ON MY FLOWERS. THE MORE I MADE A BIG DEAL OUT OF HIM PEEING ON THE FLOWERS THE MORE HE WANTED TO GO. IT TOOK ABOUT A MONTH WITH NO ACCIDENTS BEFORE I MADE HIM GO IN THE BIG BOY POTTY. HAVEN'T HAD ANY PROBLEMS SINCE. THAT'S BEEN ALMOST 2 YEARS AGO. JUST TAKE IT AT HIS PACE. IT TOOK A COUPLE OF MONTHS BUT IT ALL WORKED OUT. MY DAUGHTER ONLY TOOK A WEEK AND SHE NEVER HAD ANOTHER ACCIDENT. DEPENDS ON THE CHILD. GOOD LUCK.

Put cheerios in the bottom of toilet, it gives him something
to aim at and will help in the potty training area. Poo is easy
they usually get a red face and u can see them stopped in one spot.
