Please buy a can of vinyl spray paint in the colour of your choice and spray paint the chair (on the grass or in the well ventilated area.) Decorate with material if you wish but vinyl paint (Krylon, for example) works very well on clean vinyl surfaces. Good luck.

I have never recovered a chair like that, but I would suggest draping the fabric over the chair. Tuck it in like you do with a slip cover. You could staple the fabric over the other...or they say take a piece off at at time and cut another piece the same size and shape and staple....good luck.....

Use a bunch of different colored sharpie markers (permanent), and have fun with it. Maybe some African symbols. It could change your whole outlook.
