Elijah, he was an outcast among the Jews because he told them what God was telling him, not what the current ruler wanted to hear, so he was cast out of society, and forced to live on scraps, or, what the ravens brought him.....not a pretty picture, since I have seen ravens eat things on the side of my road where I live.

Point of story is, do what God tells you to do, even if it is eat with ravens, He always has a way of making things work for you.....much like the story of the prophet Jonah who did not want to tell the people of what God was saying, but ended up in a great fish in the sea when he tried to run away.

I love the Bible, it is so full of great stories, and great truths....I love Jesus, also, it is only through our understanding that what He sacrificed, that we could be able to come to God. Jesus' mother, is great, yet we should not have to pray to her....she was a human, just like I am, and a mother, just like I am....who she bore was great, but just like I am, it is how I chose to be obedient to God that should make a difference, and not how many prayer beads I count out, or whatever, only that I chose to accept Jesus as my Saviour!!

PS: Only 37 percent of US people consider themselves christian, and of those people, only 8 percent fall under evangelical christians. That means that those eight percent are the only ones witnessing for Christ now in the US. Jesus told us to tell as many people as we can about Him, so those also might live through Him. Keep spreading the Word.

Elijah and the story can be found in (1Ki 17:4) And it shall be, that thou shalt drink of the brook; and I have commanded the ravens to feed thee there.
