Terrorism is a type of violent political struggle. It tries to achieve political ends by terrorizing the target population through acts of mass murder.
Terrorism is based on the concept of psychological warfare that is ,in order to defeat an enemy you need to destroy his will to fight and not necessarily his army.It is asymmetric war because small groups of anonymous people take on states that have huge armies and police forces.Nobody can actually own terrorism because it is a concept and not a material possession.

Terrorism is simply the use of violent action against a civilian populace to create political or social change.
The base of terrorism is desperation when those who want a change in the status quo have no other alternative or in some cases have yet to try other alternatives and just automatically see violence as the solution.
No one owns terrorism. Some believe that Michael Collins was the founder of modern terrorism but he attacked military and intellegence targets not civilian targets when you think about it pirates and privateers were an early form of state sponsored terrorism.

9/11 is the second face of terrorism. terrorim is a deliberate use of voilence against civilians, armed personnel and the state by some group of misguided persons to affect the desired political change. terrorism has become a globel theatre of menace. 11 september 2001 attack on twin tower of the world trade center, new york, USA bears testimony to this fact. terrorism is a forceful and unlawful method to achive the desired goal.
different religion and sects have become the most dengerous aspect of the present day terrorism .
in my views the main base of terrorism is politics and religion.terrorism is an affront to democracy, destruction and anachry all around.
and every person who increase terrorism and take part in it is the owner of terrorism.
if you want to look the present face of terrorism than go to J & K there you will get the answer that what is terrorism???
thats my views
have a nice day

Terrorism simply means creating terror, or in other words, making ordinary people scared. Terrorism comes from the word terror. Bombing, kidnapping, etc are means to make people like us afraid of the dark forces of terrorism. :) hope that answers a small part of your question in simple terms :)
I think terrorism comes from extreme people... when they feel too stongly for something and become irrational. Thay use all techniques to get what they want regardless of morality and God. So personally, I think terrorism comes form the greed of people.
Who owns terrorism? that I do not know :)

Terrorism is causing havoc in the civilian population...terrorism is the killing of civilians as a means to intimidate the state.
Politics is one of the pillar of terrorism...some says religion but it is also closely link to politics...see for example OSama Bin Laden quest or crusade against America...its purely politics but Osama has the power to brainwashed poor muslims(40% of muslim world is poor who always turn to the religious medicine..)
Another important point is that terrorism is used by those who cannot afford a field battle with the enemy...
Terrorism cannot be owned..

Act/ attempt to control person(s) at ones own whims using other means (unlawful) often might. In other words, every action that establishes or attempts to establish might as right. The might need not be muscle power, it can be pluralistic as well.
The base of terrorism is persons greed of one kind or other, i.e. the legal definition of ``bribe''. For example : acts driven out of individual ``ea-go'' are acts of terror committed to simply achieve mental satisfaction (greed). Thus, the base of terrorism is simply INJUSTICE of one kind or other. Just actions are all those act which up hold right, the right in absolute sense NOT using the sense which side of the coin we look at.....
Thus, all those who commit injustice own it, since fighting against injustice (often by other side) is an ACT of self defence not acts of ``terror''.
The difficulty in pinning down to names of person(s) is that in any conflict, the TRUTH is the first casualty. So, who is an agressor and who is a defender is hard to make out more so after loss of time............ And .... a prudependent observer often lands up concluding both sides comitting ACTs of Terror or acts of self defence......
