i love canarys there cute and i like there singing ive got a canary named lemon! hes soo tamed and hes friendly

I have spent a lot of my life involved with birds! I bred birds for a number of years, mostly canaries, but a few other birds, too, and now am a very serious bird watcher.
My favorite cage bird would have to be the canary. I love hearing them sing. The birds I raised and showed were American Singers. I miss having them, but my schedule doesnt allow me to give them the care they need and deserve.
When people ask me what my favorite bird is as far as bird watching, I always say "the one I am looking at!" I think the coolest bird I saw this year was the Long-wattled Umbrella Bird in Ecuador. Here is a photograph: http://www.martinreid.com/Misc%20website/EC200612Umbrellabird.html

The species I love in order: (LOL...you asked!)
Macaws. Any one of the macaws really, but I have a Military and a Greenwing.
Eclectus's. I just love those freakin' ekkies
Amazons, I love both the double nape and the blue fronted.
Black Headed Caique. There's one that's in love with me. I barely even know her and she throws up the second she sees me, every single time. She's hillarious.

I like African Grey parrots...They are pretty birds and they can learn to have the vocabulary of a 4 y/o

The Sun Conure, type of small parrot. They are so cute and playful! They love to entertain and put on a show.

Cockatoos! Cockatoos are gorgeous, snuggly, big and fluffy and absolutely funny to watch.
They goof around and the more you laugh, the more they goof.
They can be such lovers.
They have the capacity to learn of a 5 year old human child!
