According to the Bible, there will be "a resurrection of the righteous and the unrighteous. Acts 24:15

The righteous will be resurrected to everlasting life, the unrighteous to judgment. The word here to be focused upon is judjment and what that means in the context in which it was written. The point, most people who have ever lived and DIED will be resurrected. Those who die in the tribulation and then Armaggedon will not be, as their deaths will be from the direct hand of God. I just thought I would mention it. Lovely night to you all. God bless...

Rac, the wicked will not be resurrected. Those who deliberately disobeyed God after being in direct favor with Him will not be resurrected, anymore than Satan will after he's destroyed. Adam and Eve, being perfect and without sin, will not be resurrected. Judas Iscariot will not be resurrected. Saul, who disobeyed God and then consulted with the Witch of Endor, will not be resurrected.

Darth, the resurrection may not be a physical event but it is most definitely a literal one.

Deacon, I am not sure I understand your question. Judjment in this context is the sentence, the consequence for dying in disfavor with God.

You are wrong. All will be resurrected. The righteous will be resurrected first and the unrighteous will be resurrected last. There will be a judgment for all. Upon resurrection, they will come before the Lord to be judged. The righteous will be received into one of the realms of glory prepared for them. The unrighteous will be received into whatever realm the Lord has prepared for them. As one star differeth from another in glory, so also is the resurrection of the dead.
Christ overcame the grave for all of God's children.
You do not understand the mercy of our Lord.

The resurrection is a symbolic event.

You would have to be pretty credulous to believe in a literal resurrection, and would have to ignore much of the New Testament. Paul, for instance, tought that the resurrection was not a physical event and Jesus almost always referred to life and death in symbolic, not literal, terms.

All righteous and unrighteous people are resurrected to equitably receive the fruit of their deeds: the righteous enjoy heavenly bliss, the unrighteous suffer hellish fire. That is divine Judgement.

Why just humans, how about Monkeys, Dogs (especially my pet) fish, microbes, fungus.
I want you to know that I have it from scientific sources that God is not going to resurrect everybody and everything, Just Those that were closest to him, and that includes Giraffes, some bird species and one species of Dung beetles.

Is there some reason you believe any of this? Some scintilla of evidence somewhere, which I have sought for decades but not yet found? Or are you simply full of it?
