Jesus was sent to us as God in human form and Jesus was a male human while he walked on this earth. God sent Jesus as a man because at those times, women weren't really allowed to speak freely, and wouldn't have the same opportunities that a man preaching the gospel would. God really doesn't have a gender. He's referred to as the Father, but that is only describing his role, not defining him as male.

Jesus was male because at his time, and at the land he lived in, a woman could not become a religious leader, or a teacher, or claim to be the Messiah.
things are slightly different today but not by much.
why do you refer your question about the gender of god to Christians only, Allah, Yahweh are all the same God and are considered male, the reason for that is the same, a female god would not be respected in the middle east, 2000 years ago or 3500 years ago, when the monotheistic religion first appeared.

God doesn't need a gender, Jesus was in Human form and needed one while He was here. As for gender, like it or not men wouldn't have listened to a woman in that day and age.

Not only is God a man and Christ is a man, they also have offspring. You see, we also have a Mother in Heaven to go along with our Father in Heaven. God is literally the Father of our Spirits. In the same way that we have earthly fathers, we also have a Heavenly Father and where we have an earthly father, we also have an earthly mother. Thus, where we have a Heavenly Father, we also have a Heavenly Mother. They reproduce all of their spiritual offspring. Christ inherited all that the Father has by fulfilling the Father's plan of being our Savior. He became like His Father, including having spiritual offspring with his mate. Yes, Christ is married. We also, by being obedient to the Father's plan for us and to the Gospel of Christ, can become joint heirs with Christ in the Father's Kingdom thus becoming as they are and also having eternal increase, being spiritual parents. Thus, gender is and always will be an important, yes essential, element of our existence.

Jesus had to be either male or female, and He was born male. He is not literally God, so that has nothing to do with the gender of God.

God has no gender, but is referred to by the pronoun He, used in its neutral sense.

God is spoken of in male gender partly out of custom, and partly because the English language does not have a convenient gender-neutral pronoun such as the French "on". Most people do not ascribe a sexual connotation to it.

Jesus was male because a ale sperm impregnated his mother, However, if Jesus had been female, then there would have been no chance forher to teach anything, since females weren't allowed to teach men, or speak in public about anything important.

The male image is a more dominant & athouritive figure. He isnt human anyway so it really doesnt matter. Kind of like calling a ship a lady.
