Bound's hubby here:
It is true that the federal ban on high capacity magazines and assault rifles has expired. However, some states (such as New Jersey and California) and some municipalities still have their own bans in effect. Technically in New Jersey, possession of a large capacity magazine or a rifle/shotgun/pistol that the state deems to be an assault weapon carries prison time.
It is in your best interest to check the NRA-ILA website listed below and confirm with your local law enforcement authority.
Good luck.

The ban is not in effect now, and even when it was it only applied to magazines made during the time it was in effect. I have a Glock 23 and sometimes carried 13 round mags in it during the Clinton ban time, but I usually carried my Glock 20 with a perfectly legal 15 round mag in it. A couple cops complained, but they had no right to bust me for it.
Remember we must vote next year to keep Hitlery Clinton out of the White House because she would do her best to violate our rights. She even proposed a 10,000 percent ammo tax.

All Depends on what state you live in. CA has a law that states nothing over 10 rounds but even NY allows 15 rounds so unless you live a bass ackwards state like CA you are most likely ok;

Some states (Kalifornya, Maryland, and others) limit the mags to 10 rd. Most states aren't run by liberals and their anti-gun comrades and allow whatever # of rd.s you can put in a gun. I have two Ruger 9mm pistols. One came w/15 rd. mags, one came with a clintonist restricted limit of 10 rd. but the high capacity mag fits both. I haven't seen a recent list of restrictive states lately or I could tell you more. But it's probably legal since it came with high cap mags.

The magazine ban is no longer in effect....until the democrats take the whitehouse back, then you better hide your magazines, your guns, and your ammo.

Shouldn't be as you can purchase a S&W with factory 14 round mags at your local gun shop. Assault rifles are legal again as well (though you might need the federal permits)
In reference to your email please note the period on the end of the first sentence, I was refering to HANDGUNS. My S&W came with a factory 14 round mag.
Also not that the second sentence uses the term assault RIFLES. Thank you for your clarification, though I'm prior service and former law enforcement, so your email was not needed. Please note that these were two different sentences and not a run-on.

The gun ban finally died the ignoble death it deserved. So you are O.K., unless some local anti-gun nut decides you are too evil to be trusted with anything that goes bang.
