I am in australia. I want to know how i can find my grandparents. If they are still alive. I am 18 and i want to search for them. My father wants nothing to do with them and has never looked for them. What can i do about finding them?

I don't know that much about Australia, however, if on the internet, you might find a site for family lineage. To start, ask your dad about his adoptive parents, and if they are alive, ask them about his adoption. Find out if they know anything as to a last name, why he was given up for adoption, etc. Where he was born. Take care.

If your father is unwilling to help you then it may be quite hard to research. You need a last name and that would help a lot. I hope your father changes his mind because maybe they are looking also. He seems bitter about the adoption, maybe that's why he doesn't want to help.
