Depending where you live it is very possible you could find a doctor to write a prescription for marijuana in order to control anxiety (California or Oregon being examples of where this might be possible). Unfortunately this is a TERRIBLE idea. As a person that's smoked pot for many years and also suffers from anxiety I can tell you with absolute certainty that marijuana is the LAST thing you need if you want to control your anxiety problem. The most common negative side effect of smoking marijuana is --- ANXIETY. Pot is not going to help you, and will more than likely make your problem worse.

I feel for you, and understand completely how frustrating these kinds of mental problems can be. Unfortunately there is no easy solution - and while marijuana might make you feel better about the world, the reality is that regular marijuana use is only going to make things worse.

I recommend talking to a doctor about your anxiety issues honestly - and also tell him about any drug use. They are not going to look down on you for smoking pot, and they can't help you if you are not honest with them. They might try anti-depressants (which have never worked for me), or they may try to use benzodiazapines (like xanax and valium) if your problem is severe enough. The benzos are another TERRIBLE idea. They are physically addictive, make you forgetful and stupid, decrease your sex drive, and will in the long run only make your anxiety problem worse.

The best thing to do is to find people to talk to about it. If you can afford it you should try a psychologist - but if you want to go the less expensive route there are many support groups on the internet and in real life.

Personally, I just try my best to get through my life without thinking about it. The less you sit there thinking "WHAT THE $@#! IS WRONG WITH ME", the better you will feel.

I hope I was helpful.

No i believe you can not, of coarse maybe some states may , but i really doubt it, it has to be a far more serious problem then that.
