yes its part of there credit check.. sort of... They want to know how you bank.. They shouldnt need you account number though.. I have two credit cards and got them both online, but they didnt need my account numbers.... Just be careful with what you are doing online.

I have a Vanquis card. They did not ask for my bank details. How you repay you debt (ie bank, over phone with debit card etc) is up to you.
