Reason alone denounces the notion of god. The fact that there is such diverse and complicated life on the planet proves that god can't exist. There is a logical explanation for everything in the universe except one. How the universe was formed. This will be solved soon enough.

Today in USA & Europe Islam is the fastest growing religion. So many Hindus are not praying at the stone idols, still believe in God. Why? Thinking & reasoning will make your faith more strong and correct your misconceptions. Apply today's science to explain this.
Today people think that everything should have proof. Religion dont have proof and so ignore it. Live as you like and perish when the time comes. This way of thinking itself is against science. Becos today the whole science is based on certain unseen faiths & beliefs. Example, in Maths we assume "Limit tends to infinity" an solve many complex problems. What is this Infinity? No man knows it. SImilarly in Physics we assume a smallest wave particle called "Photon" which dont have any proof for existence physically, then proceed with atomic physics. Without such assumption & faith, physics is meaningless. So faith is not against science, it is a part & basis of science. Likewise we have billions of wonders around us and in our own body to proclaim the existence of God.

The One True God encourages us to think and reason to become wise. However, He does not interfere with people who think like something beings lower than His faithful children, and He also does not withdraw His divine law of causality. Everybody reaps what he sows.

It does not mean that God is gone. God just does not want us to be fools and/or live like one. We will never be able to live without God because we can only think and reason to a certain extent. No matter what, we will always have questions that we cannot answer ourselves.

Perhaps I'm the only slow one in this room... help me follow your logic... if A implies B and B exists, then A ceases to exist?

It does not follow logically that our ability to think and reason has any effect on God's existence. Actually... if A implies B and B exists, then A must exist.

Someone help me... you can email me privately so as not to take up everyone's time

Actually, if you think and reason then atheism is gone. Anybody who says there is no God is just not thinking straight In your brain there are 100 billion neurons. Each one of those neurons(remember, there's 100 billion of them) is connected to 1000 other neurons. That comes out to 100 trillion connections in your brain. These connections send electronic signals(and you can measure the electricity) from one place to another. If part of the brain is damaged and you lose some function that is controlled by that part of the brain, the brain can actually re-wire itself and let other neurons in the undamaged part of the brain take over so that you can get back that function. That's only the connections in the brain, not the rest of the body.
Our bodies also have tons of information in the DNA. You have enough information in your DNA to fill encyclopedia sized books stacked from here to the moon and back 500 times. Do you really think that came about by just random chance........kind of like a monkey typing out the works of Shakespear just by randomly plucking away at the keys?

You need to step back and look at the big picture of what is being claimed by evolution, namely, that the unbelieveable complexity of the human brain(not to mention the rest of the body) is nothing more than re-arranged pond scum. It’s pond scum from the original prebiotic soup re-arranged over billions of years into 100 trillion connections in the brain by luck…..just random chance.

WRONG.

I f our thinking and our reasons could not find God Almighty, our thinking and reasons are wrong, that does not means if blind can not see SUN there is no sun.

First thinking and first reason indicates there is some one who created universe and there is some one who is running this show.

We have to chanalize our thinking in right path if thinking strayed every thing will vanish one by one.

So you're saying God doesn't stand up to YOUR reasoning? Maybe it's just because you refuse to accept a few things in all HONESTY about yourself.

If you can START by admitting you're a sinner, there's hope for you with God. Can you do that? Are you honest enough to admit that?

I 'll write more after you answer this.

You can reason God away

Just be thankful God did not reason you away.

You are so smart it hurts-----you have just made yourself the ultimate intellect in the universe----you dont even need God anymore------------though there are alot of things you cannot explain---supernatural. Now that you have dismissed God to the realm of mythology----what will you dismiss next?

The whole question is fatih!
Faith and Reason are not always exclusive.
There are no atheists in foxholes. But the same person can wind up an athiest in civilian society.
If you choose to make a leap of faith, it doesn't mean that you're always going to be spiritual. If you dedicate yourself to reason, it doesn't mean you'll be rejected by God in a crisis.

No it just means we need to re-address our definition of God. Believing in the vengeful tyrant of Christianity is not reasonable but a belief in a creator is a different matter.
