Yes it is ok if you bring them with you. However I would mention to your doctor that you have them. I would only take them if absolutely needed and if the doctor has not provided you with a medication that helps. Plenty of people take their medications with them to the hospital because of how physicians, nurses, etc. react to people in pain.

Yes, take them with you but only use them as a last resort

No, for the following reasons:
1) The pain killers you bring might not react so well with the ones they give you.
2) If you take yours on top of theirs you could overdose.
3) They prescribe their pain killers depending on what they think you need and upon the level of pain you say you have. If you take yours (yours + theirs) it could kill you.
There are probably more good reason why you shouldn't but you get the idea.

Talk to your doctor before the surgery and let him/her know you always have a problem with pain. Ask if something more can be ordered that won't affect the breast milk or your recovery. Do not take any pills with you. They could be dangerous if taken along with what you are given.

I don't think you should, it would not be safe to, since the doctors will control your pain if you let them know you are in pain, I had a c-section 3 years ago and they controlled my pain fine, if they refuse to give you pain medicine you could always ask to speak to the head nurse or the nurse supervisor.

No, hospitals don't allow u to take your own meds with u. Unless its something thats not going to interfer with anything they r giving u, but u have to show them whatever your taking first that is. painkillers r never allowed because if they give u something at say 4pm and at 7pm your hurting bad u pop your pill now they come in at their time give u their pill, hello??? can u say over medicated or overdose??. stay safe, let the dr. control your pain. take care

OMG! Absolutely not!!

The doctor will prescribe the medication you need before and after your surgery. By adding anything the doctor is not aware of could cause a lethal mix in your system.
Leave them at home.

only for after the surgery i hope, and tell the registered nurse that you have them, they are not allowed to take them off you,all they can do is stop giving you oral painkillers

no, all the painkillers will be provided to you by your doctor, and if you need more they will give them to you, I doubt you have anything better then what they have in the hospital.
