3:48 . "And Allah will teach him the Book and Wisdom, the Law and the Gospel,

Did the all knowing Allah not understand the Gospel was written after the resurrection?

If this is a different Gospel that was written 20-70 AD

Why did Allah not clear this up as he claimed it was his own and said to agree with the people of the book we agree with the revelation handed down.

Why did Allah say that his prophet was revealed in this Gospel?

Did Allah not know that this Gospel came after Jesus and if he did why did he not clearify this?...If he was speaking of a different Gospel he surely must have been aware of this one we have...He is all knowing isnt he?

HB It may offend you but ti is an honest question...allah is suposed to be all kowing yet he seems to not understand that the Gospel is written after the resurrection and even seems to agree with the Gospel whis is the atonement....this may not be confusing to you but if you have the answer to this feel free to share it because without a clear answer Allah sems to be confused about the Gospel? If he handed it to Jesus and it wasnt about the atonement seems to be a different Gospel and if it is a different Gospel....it seems he would know and htat would be an important thing to make clear...especialy if he doesnt agree with the crucifiction!!! Which is the Gospel as everyone else understands it even long before the Qu'ran....Which makes the faking of the Crucifiction even a more scary thing....Why would allah decieve people about the crucifiction knowing that people would believe the atonement?...and then not reveal that he faked it until 600 years later!!!!!!

Mustafa....big problem wiht this theory...how about him telling you to agree with the people of the book...We agree wiht the revealtion handed down to you your Allah is our Allah...Sura 5:68 - Say: "O People of the Book! ye have no ground to stand upon unless ye stand fast by the Law (Torah), the Gospel (Injeel), and all the revelation that has come to you from your Lord."

Sura 29:46 Muslims are told by Allah, not to question the authority of the scriptures of the Christians, saying, "And dispute ye not with the People of the Book, but say, "We believe in the revelation which has come down to us and in that which came down to you; Our Allah and your Allah is one;
Sura 2:87 - And most certainly We gave Musa the Book and We sent apostles after him one after another; and We gave Isa, the son of Marium, clear arguments and strengthened him with the holy spirit,

- Sura 3:48 - And He (Isa/Jesus) will teach him the Book and the wisdom and the Tavrat (Torah) and the Injeel (Christian Gospel).

- Sura 3:50 - And a verifier of that which is before me of the Taurat (Torah) and that I may allow you part of that which has been forbidden t you, and I have come to you with a sign from your Lord therefore be careful of (your duty to) Allah and obey me.

- Sura 5:44 - "Surely We revealed the Taurat (Torah/Bible Old Testament) in which was guidance and light", with it the prophets who submitted themselves....

- Sura 5:46 - And We sent after them in their footsteps Isa, son of Marium, verifying what was before him of the Taurat (Jewish Torah) and We gave him the Injeel (Christian Gospels) in which was guidance and light, and verifying what was before it of Taurat and a guidance and an admonition for those who guard (against evil).

If the Torah and Gospel were corrupted it must have been after Allah tole you to agree which was after the Qu'ran or how would you agree with prople of the book?
Now check and see wht the Gospel was before the Qu'ran.....It was the atonement and resurrection of Christ and that was even in the prophsies of Isaiah 800 years before Muhammad and the Qu'ran...Not to mention the books of Moses 1500 years before Christ and 2000 years before the Qu'ran.

Shirk I mean no offense I appeciate your effort adn as far as this former Chrisitans offers of scriptures revealing Muhammad I have read them and most or vague and many refer to the Messiah and one is the Holy Spirit..No disrespect I truly appeciate Your effort but I do get my understanding not from scholars Chrisitan or otherwise and yes I have tha answers before I ask the questions....It is clear the God of Abraham is not so weak as not to be able to keep his word pure if he were so enept we could never trust any of his scriptures and The God of Abraham does not reveal his truth ie; His prophets through corrupt scripture....No Prophet of God bears record of himself and no prophet of God is revealed through corrupt scripture...Never in the history of man Did a prophet of God have sole posession of all of God's truth as in the case wiht Muhamed who rewrites scripture and changes the words of the previous prophets and is in agreement with neither. All words of God prior to

Muhammad must agree wiht the scripture he brought you and there is no prophets after him which leave all of Allahs truth coming through one man who is does not have so much as a valid second witness...Alah claims to be the God of Abrasham and yet he is unfamiliar with the nature and order and even God's plan of salvation...The reason I ask these questions is not to find a truth ofIslam that does not eist outside of Muhammad but to show that this is a problem...Not that I am not open to any truth that might exist but truely I have the truth of God with me and this truth is not found in the teachings of Muhammad...Again no offense....My best answer is usualoly granted to whoever can answer my questiont he best and I agree the Question is asked of Muslims and I always keept his in mind and I am more than happy to give the best answer to any muslism who can provide the best answer to my question.

Mustafa the suras I gave you reinforce that the true Injeel was only in Jesus' heart? And you are to agree with the peple of the book that the Gospel and injeel is what comes form Allah agreeing with the injeel thatw as passed down to THEM...So its only in the heart of Jesus but it is passed down to the people of the book and you agree with THIS revelation? Are you trying to say you agree with the atonement and resurrection that has always been the good news? If you ask me you are in one heck of a delema on one hand Allah says there is no trinity....then he says agree with this revelation....

Djmantx...first of all, if you want to know Islam well, then you're asking in the wrong place. Here's a site that I guarantee will help you find the lost truth you're looking for:

www.sunnah.org

Please go to the discussion forum there and you'll find very convincing answers from speciallized scholars.

As for me, I could tell you that in the Koran, Allah mentioned the "Injil" (Evengel) which means "Good News". This was the Book Jesus came with. In it, there were some modifications of the former harsh rules of the Torah. I really am not familiar with these modifications, but in the Injil, God orders Jesus and his followers to believe and preach for the Last Prophet (ie Muhammad PBUH).

I would also advise you to search for the works of David Benjamin Keldani on the intenet. This very speciallized former Christian scholar (who later embraced Islam) told us where exactly is Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) mentioned in the Old and New Testaments. This man was fluent in Hebrew, Aramaic, Greek,...etc and all the languages dealing with the Bible.

Of course many pre-Islamic, non-Islamic and Islamic scholars knew there was a Last Prophet who'll come. In John's Gospel, the Jews asked John the Baptist if he were Elias. When he answered no, they asked him if he was the Messiah, when he answered no, they then asked him "Art thout that Prophet?" when he answered no, they then asked in a puzzled manner who was he then. From this Biblical story, we could understand that the Last Prophet wasn't the Messiah, and that this Last Prophet was known far more than John the Baptist. So if you believe in John the Baptist, then how come you don't believe in the Last Prophet (ie Muhammad PBUH)??

In John's Gospel; as I could recall, Jesus speaks about the Periklytos; which means "Ahmed" in Greek. The translators however altered this meaning to another one. Jesus said that Ahmed shall believe in him and shall not speak except from God's revelations. Jesus added that it was good for him to ascend; otherwise Ahmed shall not come. He also added that he will pray to God to send Ahmed to makind, because Ahmed's message is success for the believers in this world and the other.

Anyhow, I strongly advise you not to waste too much time debating with non-speciallized Muslims...go to Speiallized Muslim scholars in this field, and they shall lead you to what you're asking for.

And please, respect that this question is given to Muslims...so don't you dare give the best answer to a Christian volunteer. It doesn't make sense if you did that!

Did you know that Jesus was preaching the true Gospel, and that the Gospel of today is fake. so what do you think Jesus was doing?
What Muhammad was preaching ?
Allah says in the Quran < and we SENT DOWN the Quran.... >
<...and we SENT DOWN the Taurat ant the Gospel.....>

at the time of Muhamad was just part of the Quran not the whole Quran, so how can you judge ?

What I know for sure is that there is no Gospel of Jesus, because it was changed and made up by man. but the Quran is true unchanged still in the original form.
Because there is no more Gospel, they put the fake Gospel with the altered Taurat to make it look like a Book

Allah is all knowing but you obviously are not. The Gospel that was revealed to Jesus (in Arabic called Injeel) was reveal by God through the Angel Gabriel directly to the heart of Jesus (peace be upon him) in one night. This is the one and only true Gospel. It was never transferred to a written form. The closest to it is the Gospel of Barnabas... although that is not the Injeel either. The so-called Gospels you refer to are full of contradictions, inaccuracies and lies. Very little truth exist in them.

EDIT: It's not a theory... it's a fact. By the way, all of your quotes reinforce what I said. You seem to have a misguided understanding. Sorry your having this problem. Some people never learn.

Same question Same answer

everyone will answer depending on his faith background

As I understand it the 4 Bibles you are talking about are NOT the only ones that were there. There were many more bibles than the 4 of them one of them is the Barnabas which you can read about it in this web site though I have to warn you that it is most probably run by Muslims.

http://www.barnabas.net/

so you can see where Muslims get the idea that Jesus was given the Bible. Muslims consider this to be the true bible while the MAJORITY of Christians consider it to be a Bible written by Muslims.
