It all depends on what you plan on doing with it. The little 5.56 Nato round for instance is not a good round for elk hunting.

I like Armorlite AR10 a lot myself.

springfield armory's new m1....goin back to the 7.62x39 round. more power, range, reliability than the m16. the m16 jams easily, doesnt have a wholelot of knockdown power, and requires constant cleaning and maintenance.
