You go to sleep by closing your eyes.

As far as thinking you will die, you're right. You will die. One day, you will be dead.

Hopefully, that day will be in the future. But, if it did come now, don't worry about it, since you will just be dead and therefore won't have anything to worry about.

To clarify ... you are anxious that you might die when you go to sleep? Has there been someone you know who did? Or did you read something, or watched something that indicates this happens? Sometimes identifying the source of the thought helps you lay it to rest. Talk to your MD about it, and he can likely help you with some medications for sleep. In the meantime...prayer to whatever God you believe in to calm you and keep you safe throughout the night, play some music (peaceful), tape of nature sounds, distract your thoughts. Deep breathing and thinking about unrelated topics helps distract as well.

Relax. Rest and getting sleep will help you decrease your worries too.

If your having problems with running thoughts before sleeping, try an auditory distraction. This means music, or maybe nature sounds. These can help calm the body, and give you focus on other topics. IF this doesn't work, maybe a member of your respective clergy , or a counselor may be able to give you guidance on this.

Well, everyone dies at some point. Accept it and don't worry about it. It is unavoidable, so why bother? Smile)))))
