Yoga or Pilates (which was invented as a way for injured people to exercise on their sickbed) will help you maintain muscle mass. Or maybe in the meantime you can try to gain some flexibility which is always a good thing. Get better soon and do your best not to comfort eat.

I was very active and played a lot of sports. I have DJD in my right ankle, (losing cartalidge) since my situation worsened over time, I have gained weight due to inabilaty to exercise, and now I am lazy. That bieng said, Swimming is the BEST exercise you can do EVER. I uses EVERY muscle in the body. (Thats why swimmers are so trim) If you have access to a pool. Stationary bike is also an option as long as you can tolerate the pain/discomfort. The best Physical Therapy for a mild-moderate sprain is light-moderate exercise, not total rest and imobilization. Old school theory was to rest, but new school says "Move it or lose it"

I found the book to be very informative and easy to read.
I've lost 17 pounds in 12 days, I'm just concerned that I'm losing too much weight, too quickly. I will admit I haven't followed the guide exactly. I'm not sticking perfectly to the listed foods and meal plans (but mostly) and doing very little exercise, but the weight keeps flying off.
It clearly works and if I'd followed it exactly I think it would scare the living daylights out of me because of the amount that I'd lose. So thanks again for the information. I've never purchased anything like this before because they are usually full of trash, but 3WD has been a pleasant surprise.
Get started today!

Hello,
A web site I recommend is http://www.goobypls.com/r/rd.asp?gid=547 by Steve and Becky Holman.
They teach you how to look younger and literally reverse the aging process. This program is not about drugs, supplements or gimmick. It's 100% natural: there are specific ways to move, eat and think that tell your brain to stop the aging process. They also teach all the things the you absolutely have to avoid if you want to slow the aging process and achieve your ideal body.

Remember that when you cut 3500 calories from what you burn each day, then that is 1 pound lost. I know it is very hard to exercise with an injury and also very depressing. Just do the best you can.

I am sure you can do exercises while you sit in a chair so don't think you can't exercise. Look up chair exercises and see what is recommended. Also try using hand weights when you exercise to help burn off more calories.

even if u have injured ankle u can swim - it is very good for any injuries, u can go to gym and exercises for other parts of your body. if u re doing bench press i really can't understand what ankle has to do with it? u might as well be in a plastic cast - only your chest muscles re working

Use an exercise ball if you can. It is low stress and works well. Cut down to 1500 cal. and eat well balanced meals in small portions. Have snacks in between meals of fruit and a protein. Don't eat carbs before bed. If you have to snack eat a protein because proteins don't turn to fat.
