I recently 2 months ago, Had a blood test they tested my white blood cell levels, hemoglobin, urine and one other thing....

Anyways they haven't called me back, and I was told they would call back within 2 weeks if anything was wrong. So assuming everything is okay. What does this mean???

Does it limit out the possibility of me having cancer, HIV, etc....

I would contact them and see. Sometimes things fail to get done in a doctor's office. The blood cell tests would show anything they tested it for.

The blood test you described was probably a CBC...complete blood count..the white cell count would show if you had some sort of infection somewhere if it were elevated, it could also help diagnose leukemia, a symptom of HIV is a depressed white blood cell count, but this is not a definitive test for HIV. The hemaglobin & hematicrit are the other two main parts of this test, they would tell if you were anemic. There are several sub-groups to the test that measure levels of different components of your blood, but none of them would automatically point to cancer or HIV. I would contact your Dr.'s office and ask about your results. You have a right to know what the tests show whether or not your Dr is concerned with the results. Hope your health stays good.

I work in a lab and we forward all test results to the doc. he will usualy get a hold of you if there's a problem only. Sounds like you had a CBC, CMP comprihensive metobolic panel and a urine culture. All of these tests are a overall organ function test and they also check gluclose and cholesterol and a CBC can tell if you have a infection. If you want to know if you have HIV you need to get a HIV test. If you want to know if you have cancer you need to get a tumor marker test.

Simple answer. Call & talk to a nurse about your results.

And no, the tests you described don't rule out cancer or HIV.

No. They don't test for everything. Your bill would be very high if they did. Stop being a hypochondriac. Your probably fine
